Come Join Us for Thursday Night Thunder
Come join us at Laird International Raceway for a full evening of racing on Thursday July 14th. This will be a regular season race featuring Super Late Models, Modifieds, Factory Stocks, Stock Fours, and a new division for this season the Enduros.
This will be the first regular season race we've had at the track for nearly 3 years! At a recent drivers meeting, held on Wednesday July 6th, there was an overwhelming turnout of new drivers; most as a result of interest generated by the Enduro race held earlier this month. At that meeting track promoter Donnie Varcoe announced that because of the interest shown in the Enduro class by those drivers (over 35 cars were in attendance for the Enduro race) that a new division will be added for this season. We anticipate that there will be upwards of 20 cars racing in this division this season.
Car counts expected in the other divisions are expected to be 8+ cars during the opening of our regular season and our drivers are pumped up to put on a great show for fans. Come on out and show some support for your local Stock Car racing track. The only one in Northern Ontario!
General Grandstand Seating is free for those 17 and under, $20 for adults 18+, and Free for seniors 75 and over. Pit entrance fee is $30 per person. Pits open up for general admission fans after the races to allow fans to visit with their favourite drivers.
Grandstand gates open at approximately 5 pm, Qualifying is at 6, opening ceremonies at 6:55 pm, and racing will begin at 7pm sharp. Hope to see you there!
