We have special pricing for this event too:
Anyone over 75, or under 18 gets free grandstand admission.
General grandstand admission is just $10
Pit admission is $20
We'll have two giveaways; Two lucky kids at the event will be going home with a brand new bike!
Our full service canteen onsite will be open (fantastic fries!), as will our Beer Gardens on corner four.
Free onsite weekend camping is available from Friday evening, through to Sunday for those coming a distance, or for locals that would like to spend the weekend.
The Enduro race promises to be full of action with lots of rookies, plus some more seasoned drivers working to get that $4,000 prize. The Enduro race is 100 laps total, broken into segments, with a break between segments to allow driver changes, refueling and minor maintenance such as a tire change. There are no cautions during the segments and any car that breaks down or runs off the track stays where it is. The only flag that might come out is a red flag if there is a safety issue that needs to be addressed during the race.
The lawnmower race is run by the Algoma Lawnmower Racing Association (ALMRA) and is run on a dirt track on the infield. These are not your garden variety riding lawnmowers. They are modified, fast, and really spin up the dirt.
School Bus Racing has also become a fan favourite. School buses run clockwise around the track (the opposite of our normal stock car racing). The reason for this is to improve driver safety if a bus rolls on it's side. By going clockwise the driver "falls" less distance should the bus roll. If the bus was to roll the other way, the driver may be left hanging in the seat 6 feet in the air!
Come on out and join us for some beginning of summer fun!
